Range of Pay:Â $22.50
Shift: 3rd Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am
Type:Â Temp-Hire
Job Summary:
As a Sanitation Worker at the Costco Meat Plant in Tracy, CA, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the facility. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, workstations, and common areas, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met to support the smooth operation of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, and workstations following established cleaning procedures.
- Disassembles equipment parts as necessary, in operation for cleaning and sanitizing.
- Performs a high-pressure hose hot water rinse soap and second hot water rinse to all equipment and production room surfaces.
- Ensure that all areas of the plant meet the sanitation and safety standards required for meat production.
- Follow SSOP guidelines as it pertains to proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment required by position.
- Remove waste and dispose of it according to company guidelines.
- Identify and report any issues related to sanitation, safety, or equipment to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the dress code and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Assist and communicate with Quality Control during pre-op inspections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
- 1 plus years' experience in a sanitation or cleaning role in a food production facility is required.
- Ability to work in a cold environment (32-42 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing for extended periods.
- Ability to use a high-pressure power hose.

- This position may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
