Position: Metal Fabrication Technician
City: Manteca, CA
Range of Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 (DOE)
Shift: 1st Shift – Working 4 days a week, 10-hour days
Possible Overtime
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Metal Fabrication Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, repairing, and fabricating metal components in a manufacturing or production environment. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow project specifications and safety standards. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal components according to specifications.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, shears, brakes, and other metalworking tools.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, installation, or repair required.
- Strong ability to measure and cut materials with precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Temp-to-perm opportunity with potential for full-time employment and benefits.
- No travel required; work performed locally at the warehouse.
- Full-time hours with potential overtime based on workload.
