Summary
Responsible for performing licensed pest control services in a food processing and warehouse environment. The technician will support ongoing pest prevention and fumigation programs critical to food safety and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties
- Perform general pest control services under Category A for industrial and warehouse environments.
- Conduct non-soil fumigation activities under Category M, including commodity and enclosed-space fumigation.
- Apply pesticides and fumigants in compliance with CDPR laws and regulations.
- Monitor and control pest activity in processing areas, warehouses, equipment zones, and surrounding grounds.
- Perform fumigation of post-harvest agricultural products, pallets, packaging materials, and storage areas as required.
- Maintain accurate application logs, safety documentation, and regulatory records.
- Inspect facilities to identify pest activity, entry points, and conditions conducive to infestation.
- Coordinate with plant operations and management to schedule treatments with minimal disruption.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including GMPs and sanitation requirements.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions clearly and professionally.
