Position: Bottling Line Machine Operator
City: Woodbridge, CA
Shift: 1st shift – 4 X 10
Pay: DOE $20.00 - $25.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support winery bottling operations. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting bottling line equipment to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate has previous machine operating experience in a winery, beverage, food production, or manufacturing environment and can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor bottling line machinery, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and packaging equipment
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as needed
• Monitor production flow and ensure product quality standards are maintained
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate major concerns to maintenance personnel
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate production records and downtime logs
• Ensure bottles, labels, caps, and packaging materials are properly supplied to the line
• Follow all food safety, quality control, and winery production procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with GMP standards
• Adhere to all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous machine operator experience required, preferably in a winery, beverage, food processing, or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating bottling line equipment strongly preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in a production environment with moving machinery and varying temperatures
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by production demands
