Position: Manufacturing Junior Maintenance Mechanic
City: San Bernardino, CA
Pay: $21.00 to $21.25 per hour
Company: Door Manufacturing Facility
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, plus overtime as needed
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, you will help maintain production equipment and facility systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and assist with equipment repairs.
- Inspect and maintain packaging equipment, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including painting, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
- Help maintain HVAC systems and other building equipment.
- Assist with installing and modifying equipment as needed.
- Keep maintenance work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Report major repair needs to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Requirements:
- Basic maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
