Quality Technician I
Job Description
Protech Staffing is seeking reliable, motivated Quality Technicians to join our team. These positions are Temp to Hire and offer consistent hours, weekly pay, and excellent opportunities to build and advance your skill set.
Schedule: First Shift — Monday through Thursday, 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Hourly pay $24/HR
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards by auditing and monitoring processes in alignment with quality assurance policies and specifications
- Perform inspections throughout all stages of the manufacturing process
- Accurately document and report inspection results using the Business Management System (BMS)
- Conduct mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies according to inspection plans and specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Maintain product identification and traceability as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and inspection-related issues, including:
- Partnering with Product Managers to ensure product compliance
- Working with Purchasing to address supplier quality concerns
- Communicating with Area Supervisors regarding non-conformances
- Enter and manage data across internal systems and databases
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Basic written communication skills required
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges preferred
- Experience with Business Management Systems (BMS) is a plus
- ISO 9001 and Quality Assurance experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based systems
