Job Description
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00am - 2:30pm [MON-FRI]
This position is responsible for using soldering equipment to repair, modify, troubleshoot, and replace components on electronic circuit boards and STB units. Technicians will work with radio antennas, amplifier transmitters, and other large electronic equipment in a production and repair environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform thru-hole and surface-mount soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) • Conduct component-level repair, testing, troubleshooting, and modification of PCBs
• Repair and replace electronic components using soldering equipment and hand tools
• Work with radio antennas, amplifier transmitters, and large electronic equipment • Maintain attention to detail and quality workmanship standards
• Process system data and testing results using computer applications
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
• Assist with handling and moving heavy electronic equipment when necessary
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of thru-hole and surface-mount soldering experience
- Experience with component-level PCB repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuit boards
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and navigation of computer applications such as MS Office
- Manual hand dexterity and ability to use small and large tools safely
- Ability to use tools such as box cutters, wrenches, electric drills, impact drills, torque drivers, and heat guns
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- English communication skills required for training and team communication
- Safety-toe shoes are required while working around heavy equipment
Physical Requirements
• Work with heavy electronic equipment weighing 75+ lbs.
• A two-person lift will be available when needed
• Must be comfortable working with and moving heavy equipment, including sliding radios onto conveyor systems
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift
